Ellen Miner

Ellen Miner is a graduate of Messiah University with a B.A. in Music and minors in Philosophy and French, having studied piano and cello with Dr. Patrice Ewoldt and Dr. Ai-lin Hsieh respectively. She has had extensive experience teaching beginning through early advanced piano and cello students, through both her own private studio and local schools of music in the Central PA area. She utilizes the Suzuki method and other pedagogical methods according to students' age and learning styles. Ellen is highly attentive to proper technique and long-term injury prevention in the beginning years. In addition to teaching, she is an avid orchestral and chamber musician, having played with l’Association des Musiciens Amateurs d’Alsace and in a Harp, Oboe, Cello trio at l’École de Musique St. Thomas during her time in Strasbourg, France, as well as with the Messiah University Symphony Orchestra, ensembles in the Lancaster International Piano Festival, and the Jubal Quartet in York, PA.
